The Geometry and Angles between the Forces is the dialogue between the planets these are the energies that teach us and refine us through out lives.
Conjunction: A conjunction is formed when two planets are positioned tightly together in the zodiac (0-8 degrees). In most cases planets in conjunction are also in the same house and sign, and so they operate in a similar manner (same sign) and are focused on the same area of life (same house). They are blended together in a way that makes them lose their separateness.
Sextile : (60° or two signs apart.) Complementary elements are usually involved in the sextileÑwater with earth and fire with air. Planets in sextile, then, can comple?ment or enhance each other in some ways, each one filling in something the other lacks.
Square : (90° or three signs apart.) Squares repre?sent two urges or needs in a head-on conflict. Squares are the energizing forces within a personÑthe needs that drive them on.
Trine : (120° or four signs apart.) Planets in a trine are usually in the same elementÑe.g., from water sign to water sign or from air sign to air sign. Since they have many similar traits, needs, tastes, preferences, and abilities, the two planets enhance each other and do not create resistance or friction. They work together cooperatively for the same ends.
The quincunx (150° or five signs apart) The aspect usually involves two signs that are absolutely at odds with each other and therefore are difficult to reconcile. There is no natural connection between the signs.
Opposition : (180° or six signs apart.) Signs opposite each other are compatible in two ways: they are in complemen?tary elements and operate in the same modality (cardinal is opposite cardinal and so on). When used properly, opposite signs complement and fulfill each other.
As an Astrologer, I synthesize the signs, the symbols, the houses and the angles. Each planet represents a force in the Universe as well as a psychological urge/force within each person.
CARDINAL (MOVABLE) SIGNS
Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn
The cardinal signs are just like the points on a compass. Aries, east; Libra, west; Cancer, north; Capricorn, south. These 4 signs are called cardinal signs because they are the first signs in each season. Aries, spring; Cancer, summer; Libra, fall; Capricorn, winter. The changes of season are due to the Sun's "apparent" change of angular distance or, "in reality" , the tilt of the earth according to its location in its orbit.
If you are born in a cardinal sign, you are more than likely versatile, adaptable, and fully capable of adjusting yourself to changing conditions as they occur. Cardinal expresses energy actively and seeks challenges. The basic essence of cardinal signs is survival.
FIXED (FIRM) SIGNS
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius
They are the signs in the middle of each seasonThe fixed signs are associated with the middle of the season. If the cardinal signs bring us into a change of season, then the fixed signs see us firmly centered smack-dab in the middle of those seasons.
If you are born in a fixed sign, you are more than likely set in your ways and more fixed in your views than those born in cardinal or mutable signs. You are likely to have more continuity and be more difficult to sway, change or move from your position. You rarely change your mind, and are not so quick to adjust and adapt to new situations.
Fixed expresses itself by wanting to remain stable and secure. The basic essence of fixed signs is growth.
MUTABLE (COMMON OR FLEXED) SIGNS
Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces
They are signs in the last months of each season and assist the energy to change into the cardinal months again. Mutable signs are the last months of the four seasons. The mutable signs finish up with the duties that are common to the season and begin to prepare for the change in the next quarter.
If you are born in a mutable sign, you more than likely have attributes of both the cardinal and fixed signs and can adapt to the nature of both those signs. Incidentally, the cardinal and fixed signs may see you (the mutable sign) as being somewhat unstable, when in reality, you are a chameleon. Mutable expresses itself by wanting to be flexible and adaptable. The basic essence of mutable signs is adaptability.
