Our modern calendar began around 45 BC designated by Julius Caesar as a system consisting of 12 moons (months) and the 365.25 solar years. In 1582, this system was replaced by our present representation decreed by Pope Gregory XIII. It was adopted over the following centuries by many other countries and is still the agreed upon measurement of time and seasons. In addition, there are other calendars that are yet more ancient and still co-exist within the same time and space. For example, the Hebrew year 5770 begun at sundown on the evening of 18 September 2009 and will end on 8 September 2010 and the Mayan calendar is said to end and begin on the Winter Solstice of December 2012.
After much research, I conclude that the Gregorian calendar perpetuates a distinct distortion in our connection with True Time or Cosmic Time. Thus we are out of synch with Nature and our True Selves. What we agree upon collectively becomes the chosen truth regardless if it is accurate or not; hence the status quo. As a child, I was bit bemused by the fact that we changed our clocks twice a year and that we habitually leapt years to account for some time anomalies.

Moreover, as a woman, I have always been intrigued and honored by the 28 Cycle that women have as we mature. Females embody the Yin, receptive, magenetic “Lunar” principle while males emdody the Yang assertive electric “Solar” principles. The Mother and the Father prinicples of Matter and Spirit embodied in physical form.

The science of Astrology is an ancient system that connects us to larger cycles that we are intricately a part of. We are now entering the long awaited Age of Aquarius. Astrologically speaking, our Galaxy is coming into the sign Aquarius's rays for an enlightening journey of 2,160 years. This cycle is called the Precession of the Equinox or the Grand Year. However, this too is an agreed upon interpretation of Cyclical Time and our connection to it.

Take a moment to consider these numbers:

The Moon revolves around the Earth in 28 days (4 weeks X 7days=28).
When we multiply 13 moons (months) X 28 days=364 days or one year.
When we multiply 12 moons X 28 day cycles=336 days.

Since there is sacred geometry and mathematics in Nature, why must we manipulate and put such limitations ourselves by consequence? Some ancient cultures, in fact. used a 13-moon calendar in previous ages. The Mayans, the Time Keepers, still use a 13-moon system.

Furthermore, there is another constellation in our elliptical orbit through space. It is a hidden (or secret) constellation that is located around the celestial equator northwest of the center of the Milky Way. It is the 10th of 13th constellations and is found between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Ophiuchus was formerly referred to as Serpentarius. Our Solar System revolves around a Central Sun, Alcyone, (the Precession of the Equinox) and every 26,000 years. When we divide this Cycle by 12 constellations = 2,166.666667 years. However, when we divide the Grand Cycle by 13 Constellations we get exactly 2000 years. That would indicate that our Solar System spends approximately 2000 years in each constellation. Do the math. It adds up organically and without number crunching. There is room for change and evolution evening the Esoteric Science of Astrology. Perhaps even a “New Astrology” template will emerge in the coming age. Evolution is dynamic; not static.

The name Ophiuchus in Greek and Serpentarius in Latin, both mean "serpent-holder”
