What is time and how is it calculated? The concept of time has been accepted collectively, as a means of measuring temporal events and the intervals between them in a linear method. In actuality, time is much more than a measurement or a conceptual perception that we, as a society, agree upon and perceive as linear movement of mass and energy. For example, some people contend that Earth is only 6000 years old, while others insist that science has proven that she is over 14 Billion years old. Who is correct in their claims? Was there a beginning of time? Is there and end? Our modern calendar began around 45 BC designated by Julius Caesar as a system consisting of 12 moons (months) and the 365.25 solar years. In 1582, this system was replaced by our present representation decreed by Pope Gregory XIII. It was adopted over the following centuries by many other countries and is still the agreed upon measurement of time and seasons. In addition, there are other calendars that are yet more ancient and still co-exist within the same time and space. For example, the Hebrew year 5770 begun at sundown on the evening of 18 September 2009 and will end on 8 September 2010 and the Mayan calendar is said to end and begin on the Winter Solstice of December 2012. **Our concept of time, as well as concepts through language,** Moreover, as a woman, I have always been intrigued and honored by the 28 Cycle that women have as we mature. Females embody the Yin, receptive, magenetic Lunar principle while males emdody the Yang assertive electric Solar principles. The Mother and the Father prinicples of Matter and Spirit embodied in physical form.
The science of Astrology is an ancient system that connects us to larger cycles that we are intricately a part of. We are now entering the long awaited Age of Aquarius. Astrologically speaking, our Galaxy is coming into the sign Aquarius's rays for an enlightening journey of 2,160 years. This cycle is called the Precession of the Equinox or the Grand Year. However, this too is an agreed upon interpretation of Cyclical Time and our connection to it.
Furthermore, there is another constellation in our elliptical orbit through space. It is a hidden (or secret) constellation that is located around the celestial equator northwest of the center of the Milky Way. It is the 10th of 13th constellations and is found between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Ophiuchus was formerly referred to as Serpentarius. Our Solar System revolves around a Central Sun, Alcyone, (the Precession of the Equinox) and every 26,000 years. When we divide this Cycle by 12 constellations = 2,166.666667 years. However, when we divide the Grand Cycle by 13 Constellations we get exactly 2000 years. That would indicate that our Solar System spends approximately 2000 years in each constellation. Do the math. It adds up organically and without number crunching. There is room for change and evolution evening the Esoteric Science of Astrology. Perhaps even a New Astrology template will emerge in the coming age. Evolution is dynamic; not static.
I question the motivation behind the stigma attached to the number 13; hotels that do not have a 13th floor, Friday the 13th, 13 being an unlucky or evil number etc. How can a number be evil? How can we be so advanced in our modern society and yet simultanesouly riddled with archaic superstitions from the dark ages that manipulate our collective parameters of being? There are natural biorhythms and organic ways of living on this planet, just because we don't abide by them does NOT invalidate their reality. It seems to me that the more technologically advanced we become, the less human we become. Many people are not even present in their bodies consciously. Some are automatons from the moment they wake up until they are back in back to bed after a long day at work. Stress, fear and various types of soma pills have begot robotic humanoids who are visibly afraid of other people and who hide from the Sun, from fear of skin cancer. So, when do we collectively question our belief systems, our cultural habits and power struggles and begin to integrate Nature, Spirit and Matter as One? THERE IS A COSMIC ORDER and Humans are a part of its perfection. |
